There’s not a lot of things that people don’t love about this drill. Reviewers repeatedly stated that this drill far exceeded their expectations for the $50 price tag, and that this drill truly is worth every penny. The one concern that did keep popping up, however, is the 3/8″ chuck – a value option – which can’t be used with hole saws to make really big holes in wood. Still, it’s worth every bit of $50!
On the positive side, reviewers absolutely love this drill. Considering it’s only $20 more than Black & Decker’s 260B, the DWD112 simply blows the corded drill competition out of the water! It’s high power combined with quality construction and a great chuck really set this drill apart from the competition, even if it does mean you’re stuck to the wall for power.
Overall Rating[divider_flat] [divider_flat]
The first thing that most reviewers noted was that this drill feels solid. In a day and age where many drills have a cheap, plastic exterior, this DeWalt has a quality plastic casing, a solid, comfortable grip and an all-metal keyless chuck.
When using the drill, owners say that this drill has some serious power due to it’s top speed of 2,500 RPM and 8.0 amp motor. Reviewers were also very pleased by the length of the power cord – not too short, but also not too long!
I’m not gonna lie – this drill really doesn’t feature anything special. No worklight, belt clip or anything like that. But the DeWalt DWD112 does have all of the basics, and it is a really high-quality tool.
DeWalt’s DWD112 is perfect for professionals, and people who use their tools hard. Though it comes with a value price point, it’s a very tough tool. One reviewer even claimed that they have changed over to the DWD112 as their primary drill, and only pull out the cordless for drilling in odd locations!
This tool is perfect for completing all of your workshop tasks, and won’t let you down in power or price!
